I am interested in investigating the function(s) of GDF5 cis-regulation in the context of mouse joint and long bone development during late gestational and postnatal life. I want to know how regulatory elements specifically control GDF5 expression in different tissues in mouse. I also am excited to be exploring the potential relationships between this regulatory control and phenotype variation and evolution in primates and other mammals.
